Lyle Washington, DC Slated for April 2021 Opening

Lore Group has announced plans to launch its latest independent hotel, Lyle Washington, DC, this April. The second U.S. property in the hospitality company’s portfolio, the hotel will occupy a former Art Deco apartment volume and feature a soothing design ethos accentuated via the building’s original features and natural materials. “The aim with Lyle was to create a space where guests could feel completely comfortable, the spaces have an understated style that feel calm and relaxed,” says Lore Group creative director Jacu Strauss. “The interiors have a quiet confidence, made possible by our pairing of classical elements with a ‘soft deco’ design approach that evokes a contemporary look and feel.”

Nestled into the corner of the property, restaurant and bar Lyle’s exudes a welcoming flair with bespoke furniture and an eye-catching custom pendant cluster. Anchored by an open kitchen, the neighborhood-style concept will serve contemporary aesthetics and fare, while a private dining room playfully showcases rich red tones and a custom black and white dining table. The Parlor is also located on the first floor, and populated by an eclectic mix of furniture and artwork that establishes a less formal ambiance apt for a range of events—from private dining to large parties. Additional meeting spaces are spread across the ground floor with residential-style décor and colorways that reference the site’s legacy as an apartment complex.

Calm, neutral tones will characterize Lyle Washington, DC’s 196 guestrooms, which are bedecked with custom linens and furnishings. Art Deco-style burl wood headboards complement rattan seating and berber carpeting, while bathrooms are clad with handmade tiles. Moreover, 56 guestrooms are equipped with kitchenettes to accommodate longer stays as well.
